MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE This was a great location with friendly staff, however there was no mention of off season low stock in shop (nothing to buy). Beautiful woodland walks.The list of rules to follow was endless. groups of young people either side of us smoking large amounts of skunk spoiled the atmosphere slightly and would probable have been better not placed in a family field. The toilets and showers were the worst i have ever experienced at a camp site which considering how quiet it was really was not a huge ask to have them cleaned at least daily, i am more than happy to run a mop around if one is left. ( they were done when i asked on day 3). The washing up facilities were also dirty, there was no bin to put other peoples dirty rubbish and cloths in to before doing your own washing up.
Great welcome by the staff who were very helpful throughout our visit. Only problem was a lot of wasps and someone had let their dog poo where we were pitching our tent. Staff dealt with the poo. Nature will taje care of the wasps. Lovely wood for dogs and children.
Blacklands farm is a gorgeous camp site located in the Sussex countryside, with well maintained grounds and facilities. The lodges are well looked after and quaintly decorated and beautifully presented in a small woodland patch. There's a great communal playground for the younger children as well as goal posts in the field ready for a spontaneous kick about amongst campers. The whole site has had a lot of thought put into it, and is well worth a visit. We can't wait until next time!
Great for families with play area in the centre of site, so can be easily supervised. It can be busy but still plenty of room between tents. Facilities are cleaned regularly and plenty of hot showers. Good pub within walking distance as well, even for little ones.
Great family camp site. Real effort to entertain kids. Short walk to good pub. Quiet at night (no music allowed). Don't forget to bring fishing rods
